Accommodation

When you arrived once in Manchester, you don’t want to go home again.

“Take me home, United Road
to the place, I belong
to Old Trafford, to see United
take me home United Road!”

But where do you want to stay overnight?

Sometime every club and every pub has closed – even in Manchester!

Hostel

Hatters Group

You can find at the Hostel Group Hatters everything from single room to 8 bed rooms. Both hostel of this group lie directly in the city centre of Manchester (Piccadilly Gardens, Manchester Piccadilly Station and the Victoria Station are only a short walk away. At very affordable price from £15 midweek and form £16 at the weekend. It includes a small breakfast, to wake up quickly, wireless for a little fee. By the way you meet many different but kind people from all around the globe. So far, I’ve spent three times at the Hatters Hostel (Newton Street) und more than six times at Hilton Chambers. Both hostels are close-by and only one street away. Personally, I prefer the Hilton Chambers Hostel.

Hotel

Those who wish to have a silent night, a hotel bar after an exhausting day and richful breakfast on the following day, should prefer a hotel to stay in.
This hotel is situated in the city centre of Manchester, approx. a ten minutes walk away from Piccadilly Station. The single room were very simple, but there was a bed and a clean bathroom with a shower. Moreover there was a pretty good traditional English breakfast. Actually it costs £42 per night.
You have to walk only five minutes to the airport, then you the train takes approx. 20minutes to Manchester Piccadilly rail station. The twin bed room was quite large, including a couch, a TV and a large bath room with a bathtub. The twin bed room costs £69 per night (unfortunately there is no breakfast included).
The hotel is located in the city district Salford. You can reach the hotel within ten minuten from Piccadilly rail station by bus line 33. The rooms are furnished simply, TV, double bed and bathroom. Wireless is available all around the hotel. You can choose as breakfast between buffet (6£/person) or traditional English breakfast (8.50£/person). The room costs 85£ at the weekend.
In Sale, about 10 minutes by train from the city and not far from the M60 / A56 exit towards Westbound, Chester Rd. The hotel is located near Worthington Park, to train them is less than five minutes on foot. We were there earlier than fan club “Krefeld-Reds” always get 10% discount on accommodation. Whether that is still valid now, I do not know, you would have to ask our boarding stuff.
